Website Terms

Updates

The following TERMS OF USE are subject to change at any time and at the sole discretion of Student Marketing Agency Inc.. Please visit the site regularly for updates.

TERMS OF USE

Please read the following terms of use relating to your use of this site carefully. By using this site and service, you agree to these terms of use. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, so please check this page periodically for changes. By using this site after we post any changes to these terms, you agree to accept those changes, whether or not you have reviewed them or been notified about them. If at any time you choose not to accept these terms of use, please do not use this site or service.

Terms of Payment

Your initial payment covers your Onboarding fee (account setup only) and first month of Network Maintenance fees only. It does not cover any other services unless agreed to in writing.

You may authorize work by email or verbally.

Each project in the initial Action Plan will include an estimate of time needed to complete that work. Estimates are not fixed-prices, rather good-faith projections. You may request increases or decreases to the time budgets by email or by making comments directly in the Action Plan and confirming via email that your requests have been received.

Any budget expectations you have outside of the initial action plan should be communicated to our team by email, with confirmation of receipt. If you would like estimates for any new work, it is up to you to request those estimates.

Payment collected after each work-week

Our team will perform work in good faith on a best-efforts basis, in advance of payment for that work. You will keep an active credit card on file which will be automatically debited once per week for the work performed in the previous week. Hourly rates are listed on our home page.

You may set limits on how many hours per week you would like the team to work.

There are no long term commitments. In the event you ever need to cancel, you can do that here. Cancellation will cause all active work to stop. You will receive one final charge for any work to date.

Refunds

Refunds may be requested for work that was mistakenly performed which was not agreed to.

No other refunds are available.

Customer acknowledges that the team will simply do their best like anyone else and will likely make mistakes and perform below your expectations. This is normal human behavior and is not malicious. This is not cause for withholding payment or obtaining refunds.

Customer takes full responsibility for results, and acknowledges that they are hiring students.

Onboarding (Account Setup) fees are not refundable under any circumstance.
Refunds for reason of 'quality of work' or 'not as expected' does not justify a refund, as the work is always performed on a best-efforts basis, with no guarantee of outcome or specific quality. You should be aware that you are hiring students and take responsibility for this decision.

Disputing charges through your credit card company is not an acceptable method of requesting a refund, rather a breach of contract. When a refund is appropriate due to work being performed that was not requested, simply email us within 14-days of your invoice (support @ marketingeducation.org) and we will happily claw back the money and refund you.

Disclaimer:

There is a substantial risk associated with starting and running a business. Your results are dependent on many factors, including hard work, starting capital, competition and experience. No representation or implication is being made that your participation in our program will generate profits or ensure freedom from substantial loss. Results are not guaranteed and may vary from business to business.

Any bonuses offered to you have no cash value and may not be redeemed for cash.

Fees

Hourly Rates

Most work is done at an hourly rate, listed on our website. These rates have never gone up and never will.

Network Maintenance

Clients pay a monthly charge which covers the monthly Network Maintenance.

All our clients pay this as a way to help maintain the students even if you don't give them any work for a week or two (or longer!). We have no monthly minimums on our levels of service, meaning you can come and go, giving the students little or no work each month, yet we know when you need them they must be ready to get to work. While this amount may not sound like much, since all our clients pay it, it really does provide us with help to keep students on when things get slow. This means they are always there, just waiting for your command and there is never any interruption of service.

Content policies

Our content policies play an important role in ensuring a positive experience for our team. Please join us in this effort by respecting these guidelines. When we find content or projects that violate these content policies, we may remove it from appearing on our websites or task lists. In cases of repeated or egregious violations, a customer may be no longer eligible for services. We may make exceptions to these policies based on artistic, educational, historical, documentary, or scientific considerations, or where there are other substantial benefits to the public.

Ads and sponsored content

We do not allow content that conceals or misrepresents the facts. Sponsorship, including, but not limited to, ownership or affiliate interest, payment, or material support, should be clearly disclosed to readers. The subject of sponsored content should not focus on the sponsor without clear disclosure. It is the customer's sole responsibility to enforce this policy, and all other related policies listed herein.

Personal and confidential information

We do not allow the sharing of a private person's confidential and personally identifiable information (e.g. medical records or financial information).

Copyrighted content

We do not endorse content that infringes anyone’s intellectual property rights and will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement. Repeated infringement of intellectual property rights, including copyright, will result in account termination.

Sexually explicit content

We do not produce or promote content that features explicit sexual imagery primarily intended to cause sexual arousal.

Graphic violent content

We do not allow content that incites or glorifies violence. We also do not allow extremely graphic or violent materials for the sake of disgusting others.

Hateful content

We do not allow content that promotes violence or harassment against an individual or group based on ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

Medical and other Advisory topics

If this content offers advice, diagnosis or treatment for medical, financial, legal or any other issue, customer bears the responsibility for its accuracy, completeness and fitness.

Harassment and cyberbullying

We do not allow content that sends messages intended to harass, bully, or physically or sexually threaten others.

Deceptive practices

We do not allow sites or accounts that impersonate any person or organization, or that misrepresent or conceal their ownership or primary purpose. We do not allow sites or accounts that engage in inauthentic or coordinated behavior that misleads users. This includes, but isn’t limited to, sites or accounts that misrepresent or conceal their country of origin or that direct content at users in another country under false premises. This also includes sites or accounts working together in ways that conceal or misrepresent information about their relationships or editorial independence.
